The scholarships are being offered by the Government of Republic of Korea
Korean Government Scholarship - 2007
Two scholarships are being offered by the Government of Republic of Korea, one in “Korean Studies” at Master’s level and another in “Architecture” at Ph D level. Duration would be about two years in Korean Language for Master’s degree programme and about three years for the Ph D programme. The scholarship covers living expenses, tuition/ entrance fee, research allowance, costs of textbooks and other literature, student association membership, dissertation review, as required. An economy class ticket airfare to the Republic of Korea, and a return ticket of the same category to his or her country of residence after the completion of a study programme will be paid as well.
Requirements: Indian students, age not exceeding 26 and 30 years for Master’s and Ph D respectively as on January 25, 2007, uniformly good academic record with at least 60% marks in relevant subject at Bachelor’s Degree for Master’s, and at least 60% marks at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject-field for PhD, good command of either Korean or English languages.
To apply: Application on plain paper along with the required photocopies of documents with a recent passport size photograph pasted on the application should reach the Section Officer, Es 3 Section, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Secondary & Higher Education, A 1/W 3, Curzon Road Barracks, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi-110 001.
Submission: January 25,2007, online and by post. Hard copies, in case of online application, should reach by February 5,2007.
