Broadband Learning Corporation Announces Appointment of New CEO
Broadband Learning Corporation (Broadband Learning)(TSX VENTURE:BLC), a participant in the rapidly expanding distance learning market, today announced the appointment of Robert C. Dameron as Chief Executive Officer. Edwin Giles will continue as President in an operating and sales capacity. Until recently, Mr. Dameron was President and CEO of OTG Financial Inc. (previously known as Ontario Teachers Group Inc.), a teacher based mutual fund company whose revenues and client base doubled in less than 4 years under his direction. Mr. Dameron has also been Vice President, Financial Services at CE Network Inc. (as part of executive start-up team that created Canadas first on-line continuing education portals for financial and real estate professionals), Regional Vice President, Ontario, of Investors Group Financial Services and Director of Corporate Training & Education at The Toronto Stock Exchange (now known at the TSX Group).
We are very pleased to have Bob join the Broadband Learning team said John Yarnell, Chairman of Broadband Learning. In the period during which he has acted as a consultant, the focus on execution of the business plan that he has brought to the company has already provided substantial payoff.
