PSR Sacramento Scholarship Essay Contest for High School Seniors
Contestants may enter the 2007 PSR/Sacramento Scholarship Essay Contest by submitting an original essay of 500 words or less describing their thoughts on the following lyrics by recording artist Michael Franti: We can bomb the world to pieces, but we cant bomb it into peace.
Applications for the third annual PSR Sacramento Scholarship Essay Contest are now available also at website.
The contest is open to high school seniors in Sacramento and the surrounding counties (please see website for complete eligibility rules).
First place winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship; second place a $1,000 scholarship; and third place a $500 scholarship. The other seven contestants participating in the May 5 final judging event will each receive $250 scholarships.
