Blair Oaks, Gary Wilbers sponsor new scholarship named for Peggy Luebbert

Blair Oaks High School is sponsoring a new scholarship, the Peggy Luebbert scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, for the class of 2007. Luebbert is a veteran English teacher who will retire at the end of the school year.

Gary Wilbers, a 1985 graduate and owner of Mid-America Wireless, is making the scholarship available. He is giving the scholarship because of the significant impact she had on his life when he was in high school.

The scholarship will be awarded to a senior who plans to enter an accredited post-secondary school in Missouri in the fall semester after graduation. The recipient must be enrolled full-time.
