KC Distance Learning Acquires Aventa
Portland, OR-based KC Distance Learning (KCDL), a provider of online educational services, has acquired the assets of Aventa Learning, a content and service provider for K-12. The companys K-12 offerings will continue to be marketed under the Aventa brand.
KCDL is a distance learning provider whose courses are available directly through Keystone National High School, an online high school. Through the acquisition of Aventa, KCs solutions for the K-12 sector will be expanded to include everything from institutional licenses of core, elective, AP and foreign language courses, to online and correspondence credit-recovery courses, to integrated district level partnerships, according to the company. Aventa, which launched in 2002, provides online high school courses, including foreign language and Advanced Placement courses, as well as credit completion courses, middle school courses, and AP Exam Review resources.
