NIFT had placements for students who have completed its four-year graduate programme
NIFTs placement records
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) had placements for students who have completed its four-year graduate programme. The placements have touched new heights with salaries as high as Rs. 7 lakhs a year. The average salaries have gone up between 22-73 per cent over 2005 figures. The institute has attracted a number of new industry segments such as retail besides the garment exporters for recruitment. It may be recalled that NIFT upgraded all its under graduate programmes to four years from year 2003. This is also the first batch of graduates trained under the newly structured curriculum. NIFT Act 2006 has made NIFT an Institute of Excellence that can award its own degrees.
