The European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mariann Fischer Boel, recently commenced her week-long visit to India. She is accompanied by a 28-member high-level delegation of executives representing food and drink companies from across the European Union under the Tasty Europe banner. The main objective of the visit is to spearhead a promotional effort to increase business opportunities in the agri food sector between EU and India.
