Student wins scholarship
A Malaspina International high school graduate wont be continuing her education at the university-college in Nanaimo next fall.
Thats because 16-year-old Fiona Wilson won a $2,000 entrance scholarship to Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ont., and an $18,000 Presidents Centennial scholarship.
The quarter system timetable used at the private high school enabled Wilson to finish her graduation requirements early with a grade point average of 3.93.
