IIT, Delhi and GGIPU have signed a MoU with the University of Karlsruhe,
CLEAN-UP ACT
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGIPU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Karlsruhe, Germany to develop and study the performance of Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) with the assistance of Delhi Jal Board (DJB). According to the MoU all three educational institutes will work on and research developing a reactor that will run on solar energy and a pilot RBC reactor to treat 2.25-kld sewage. This would then be installed at the Yamuna Vihar sewage treatment plant of DJB.
