Art show and scholarship program at Atlantic City airport
The Atlantic City International Airport will help honor the memory of a young artist whose life was cut short by hosting a student art show and scholarship program in the airport ArtPort gallery for the entire month of April.
Scholarships will be awarded during a public open house at the gallery from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10.
One high school and one college artist each will receive a cash prize from the JAN-AI Scholarship Fund, which was created to honor the life and tragic death of young writer, poet and photographer, Jennifer Cakert, who grew up in Ventnor.
