BITS Pilani recently organ¬ised its 25th all india academic festival, titled APOGEE 2007 (A Professions Oriented Gathering Over Educational Experience). Vinod Sawhny, CEO, Bharti Retail, inaugurated the five-day festival. A large number of students from institutions across the country and six students from abroad participated in different events organised in this function. About 160 projects were showcased at the festival; to name a few: Micro Mouse, Automatic Railway Platform Cleaner, and Portable Water Solutions. Yashvir Singh, president, BITS students association in his welcome address, put forth the main objective of this event - to showcase how BITS has come up with the application of science and technology in finding solutions to practical problems.
