Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center Announces New Community Leadership Scholarship Program
Dr. Lorne M. Buchman, President of Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center, today announced the Saybrook Community Leadership Scholarship Program. The new program will enhance Saybrooks existing scholarship program for new students and will award up to ten renewable scholarships in amounts to $4,000 in the fields of psychology, organizational systems or human science.
In announcing the program, Dr. Buchman stated: The goals of the new scholarship initiative are to identify and recognize individuals who are leaders in transformative change and who are contributing to new knowledge and awareness of humanistic principles in professional, local, or global communities. The scholarship is designed to enhance their contributions to community by supporting them in graduate study to explore new ideas and/or pursue innovative practice in their chosen professions. The scholarships will honor leadership in community service, social engagement, advocacy, activism, or outstanding professional practice in areas related to Saybrooks degree programs of Psychology, Organizational Systems or Human Science and/or its five concentration areas of Consciousness and Spirituality, Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology, Integrative Health Studies, Organizational Systems, and Social Transformation.
Scholarships will be awarded based on a review of the applicants outstanding community leadership, academic merit, and demonstrated financial need. Awardees will be required to show the ability to complete a Saybrook degree program in a timely manner with a minimum of 12 units completed for the first academic year.
