Education Fair organized in Madurai
The Russian Cultural Centre in India, in association with Study Abroad - a centre for higher studies at Russian Universities - is conducting an education fair.
The fair, according to Elena Barman, Chief Executive, Russian Centre of Science and Culture, New Delhi, will provide necessary information about Russian Universities, counselling assistance and guidance to aspiring students and their parents.
Elena Barman told reporters yesterday that the Russian Federation has some of the finest medical institutions in the World. Thirty positions out of the top hundred in the world are occupied by Russian Medical Universities.
The 48 Medical Universities in Russia are listed in the Directory of Medical Schools of the World Health Organisation, thus making the students eligible to appear for the screening test.
The duration of the medical course is six years in English medium and seven years in Russian medium, while an engineering degree takes four years for completion.
Barman said representatives from leading Russian medical and engineering universities would participate in the expo. (Agencies)
