A Sovereign Bank executive recently presented a check for $1,000 to the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation to award a scholarship to a Penn College student for the 2007-08 academic year.
Paul H. Rooney Jr., senior vice president and regional president for the Wyomissing-based financial institution, presented the check for the Sovereign Bank Annual Scholarship to Joann Kay, executive director of the Penn College Foundation.
Sovereign Bank is pleased to continue its annual donation to this scholarship fund to support the students at Penn College, Rooney said.
