The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) with an A Grade (institutional score between 85% to 90%). The accreditation is valid for a period of five years from March 31, 2007. The Peer Team from NAAC visited the university from February 19-21, 2007. Based on inputs during the visit, a study of documents already submitted by the university and a careful study of records during the visit, the team prepared a report for this purpose. According to K K Aggarwal, vice-chancellor, GGSIPU, We are happy to be the first regular university in the Capital to get an A grade by NAAC, and that too within eight years of its existence.
