A British degree in north India
Indian students could soon acquire a British university degree by doing a part of the course in India at less than half the cost.
London-based Carmel College of Excellence has decided to introduce different programmes in collaboration with various Indian universities to help provide education to Indian students at highly affordable costs, A Jaffer Ahmed, business consultant of the college said here.
Weve already held talks with Himachal Pradesh University, Punjab University, and Guru Nanak Dev University, besides three other universities in South India, he said.
Under the proposed collaboration students will be able to complete the first year of a three year course within the country and then migrate to London for the remaining two year course.
The focus of all the courses offered would be job oriented and the faculty would be brought in from London at the six Indian universities. The first batch of students would be admitted under the proposed programme by September, Ahmed said.
AIIMS Global Education is the authorised representative of the college in India and would provide free consultancy to applicants for admission, visa and financial assistance.
