Oslo Peace Scholarship
The International Peace Research Institute, Oslo and The Australian National Universitys Department of International Relations, in partnership with Bjorknes College, are offering a scholarship for Master of international affairs specialising in peace and conflict studies. Students spend one semester at Biorknes College in Norway with faculty from the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) pursuing courses in conflict resolution and peace building, ethics of peace and war, and gender and war.The international relations courses are taken at ANU in Canberra. The Oslo Peace Scholarship pays the tuition fee and provides a living allowance for both Oslo and Canberra. The scholarship will apply for the normal minimum duration of the Master of international affairs specialising in peace and conflict studies. Requirements: Obtained at least second-class honours, division A or the equivalent, in their bachelor degree.The degree normally should be in any discipline of the social sciences or the humanities. In exceptional circumstances, degrees in other disciplines will be considered. In cases where applicants have not undertaken an honours degree, equivalence to a 2A honours degree may be met by a very good four-year bachelor degree, or graduate diploma; or a very good three-year bachelor degree and substantial relevant work experience demonstrating a capacity for analysis and research.
