NMCC ties up with IIT, IIM to launch PG course

National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council on Monday launched a post graduate programme to enhance skills of personnel engaged in the manufacturing sector.

The one-year programme called Executives in Manufacturing for Visionary Leadership has been designed by IIM Kolkata, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras in consultation with industry body CII, NMCC and Japanese International Cooperation Agency.

Lack of skilled manpower in the sector remains a cause for concern and this programme would help train executives to become visionary leaders and increase competitiveness in the manufacturing sector, NMCC Chairman V Krishnamurthy said.
