South San Joaquin Irrigation District Presents $5,000 Scholarship to Student

The South San Joaquin Irrigation District presented a $5,000 scholarship to Daniel Holtz, a student at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) recognized the scholarship winner during the annual Spring Conference and Exhibition in Sacramento.

The South San Joaquin Irrigation District honored Holtzs scholarship at a ceremony at the district office on April 27.

Holtz, a junior at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is majoring in BioResource and Agriculture Engineering with a water concentration. Upon graduation, he hopes to begin a career to help improve sustainability and reliability of water delivery and water quality to Southern California.
