Essay Competition
With growing concerns of obesity in urban children, the Almond Board of California launched a campaign for students of classes VI, VII, and VIII to create and promote healthy dietary habits and making informed choices. An integral part of the campaign was an essay competition, whose winners were felicitated last week at a prize distribution ceremony, held at Lok Kala Manch in New Delhi. The competition saw over 60,000 entries from all over the country, which were scrutinized by a qualified panel of judges.
The winners were awarded with a digital camera, an MP3 Player, and a watch for standing first, second and third respectively. Besides this, twenty consolation prizes were also awarded.
