Diversity in new batch
The new batch of 2008 at the Indian School of Business (ISB) has students with a wide variety of work experience. The class comes from industries such as pharma, shipping, FMCG, healthcare,
media, civil services, manufacturing, education and research, advertising, and a host of other areas. While 59 percent of the Class comes with an engineering degree, the remaining 41percent is from various other backgrounds. The number of doctors and people from media industry has increased. There are also IFS, IPS, and IAS officers joining. Several academics including scientists have joined along with entrepreneurs who have established businesses on their own. This year, the number of women students has increased to 25 percent and the number of.international students has also gone up.
