DAIICT, Ahmadabad, bagged the first prize of Rs.l lakh at the India leg of Imagine Cup 2007

Imagine Cup 2007 Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Technology (DAIICT), Ahmadabad, bagged the first prize of Rs.l lakh at the India leg of Imagine Cup 2007. Its team will now go on to compete at the worldwide finals in August 2007 at Seoul, Korea, where a total of US $170,000 (about Rs. 76 lakhs) is on offer for the top teams. The Imagine Cup India 2007’s theme was ‘Imagine a world where technology enables a better education for all’. Over 12,000 students from over 1,000 colleges across India took in the competition. Team Gras from Goa Institute of Technology (GIT) and team Aabha from Indian Institute of Information Technology (HIT), Allahabad, were judged first and second runners up, and awarded Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000, respectively.
