Under pressure to adapt to fast-changing market dynamics and global requirements, Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad is set to redesign its flagship two-year PG programme for the first time in the last 10 years. This programme is being reviewed after a decade and the institute has recently formed a review committee that includes seven professors.
The committee has held its first meeting wherein the faculty members discussed the programme format and course curriculum. “We mainly intend to make amendments in the programme to take into account the changing market scenario.
This will be done keeping in mind the long-term institutional goals and student requirements,” said professor M M Monipally, head of the programme review committee at IIM-A. While IIM-A is doing it now, several international B-schools including Harvard have recently redesigned their curriculum to make it more adaptive.
