Farmers Insurance Group has joined with the United Negro College Fund to create a new Farmers Insurance Group Emerging Scholars Program that will formally be announced at the UNCFs Walk for Education, Saturday, May 19 in Los Angeles, CA. The Walk takes place from 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Exposition Park.
The creation and announcement of the scholarship is the first of many new initiatives from Farmers in the African-American market.
Farmers has created the scholarship program for deserving California resident students pursing any major and attending one of the 39 United Negro College Fund (UNCF) member institutions or other historically black colleges or universities (HBCUs) in America. This new scholarship is designed to help ensure the continued success of five deserving students, while creating a way to ease the burden of costs associated with attending college.
