A senior at South Williamsport Area High School is the 2007 recipient of the Peggy Madigan Memorial Leadership Scholarship award at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Jason M. McElroy learned of his selection while participating in the 22nd annual Pennsylvanias Tomorrow Starts Today Student Government Seminar, hosted at Penn College by state Sen. Roger A. Madigan.
Madigan is a member of the Penn College Board of Directors. The scholarship was established in memory of his late wife, Peggy, whose many activities included working as a special reading aide in her local school district.
