Lamar Universitys College of Business awarded its second William G. McGowan Scholarship, and this years recipient has high hopes for what this honor will mean for his future.
Steven Woodard, a senior accounting major from Vidor, will be the 2007-2008 William G. McGowan Scholar. Woodard said he did not expect to receive the scholarship, but he knows it will be very beneficial to him in the future.
I am extremely grateful to the College of Business and Dr. Venta for the scholarship and for all of the help they have given me, Woodard said.
