Career Excellence
IBM has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Technology and Management (ITM), Gurgaon, to use the institutions expertise in running its Accelerated Career Excellence (ACE) programme.
The ACE provides non-engineering IBM-India employees with a BSc degree with an opportunity to upgrade their skills with a four-year MS programme in software engineering developed in collaboration with the University of Mysore.
Aimed at grooming technical talent at the workplace, ACE will provide IBM employees in Delhi and Gurgaon with increased opportunities to be deployed on different technologies across business domains at different IBM locations.
IBM has been one of the most aggressive recruiters in the Indian marketplace. From 38,500 employees in December 2005, IBM augmented its workforce to 53,000 as of December 2006. The IBM Global Campus, the largest online university of its kind, offers more than 20,000 learning modules.
