Katha workshop for teachers
Katha organised an in-service teacher training programme Reading Teachers at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in Delhi for teachers teaching at Katha schools all over the country The 160-hour workshop is conducted every year. The learnings from this will be passed on to Kathas 11 community based school, 20 pavement schools served by the schools on wheel and 22 centres of learning operated in distant and new slums. According to Anand Singh Rana, who teaches IT education at Kathashala for the last seven years, The communication module helped me gain confidence. I also developed a reading habit and learnt what factors to keep in mind while reading. Also, how reading can help us grow as a person.
