CBSE has recommended its affiliated schools not to use textbooks by private publishers

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recommended its affiliated schools not to use textbooks by private publishers at secondary and senior secondary levels. This includes textbooks of private publishers in different subjects of classes XI-XII, including their Hindi editions, said an official release. The order has been effective since academic session 2005-06. The Board added that it would initiate legal action against publishers who claim to have CBSE recommendation in any book in circulation.
