IGNOU Events
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will hold two events from August 1 -3,2OO7.The first event will be the fourth convention of the National Alliance for Mission 2007 with the theme ‘Every village a knowledge centre’ for this year. The second will be the fifth convocation of Jamsetji Tata National Virtual Academy (NVA) Fellows.
Various organisations collaborating in this venture are: IGNOU, M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF), Microsoft Space Development Corporation (MSDC), International Development Research Centre {IDRC),Tata Education Trust (TET), Qualcomm, and Media Lab Asia, among others.
From August 15,2007, the National Alliance for Mission 2007 programme will become Grameen Gyaan Abhiyan, a national movement for knowledge empowerment of rural families.
