The Institute of Apparel Management (IAM), Indias first institute specializing in Apparel Management Education, will offer programmes to professionals from the apparel industry from this month at its own campus in Gurgaon. The institute will offer a one year (full time) PG programme in Apparel Marketing and Merchandising. This will include a six-week internship in leading apparel, export, retail organisations in India at the end of the first semester or a six-week visit overseas. The institute is promoted by AEPC Society for Human Resource Development under the aegis of Apparel Export Promotion Council, sponsored by Ministry of Textile, Government of India. IAM nurtures talent to take up positions as future captains of the Indian apparel industry It is a partnership with approximately 8000 apparel manufacturers / exporters. It is recognised by the industry, has a state of art resource centre, an internationally acclaimed faculty, provides a cent per cent placement assistance, global networking for study and research and industry interaction.
