Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi launched a school meal programme in the state. The inauguration was held at the Town Hall in Gandhinagar. The Government of Gujarat and the Akshay Patra foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding to feed children in some parts of Gujarat. The foundation plans to feed one million school children everyday by the end of 2010.
