Students from Singapore as part of an exchange programme for children with special needs
Student Exchange
For the third year running, the Shri Ram School hosted students from Singapore as part of an exchange programme for children with special needs. This initiative helps to raise awareness among students and teachers both in India and Singapore. This year the students were from special schools and a regular school in Singapore. The children, in the age group of 8-13 years, participated in both academic and cultural activities. They also enjoyed visiting homes to get a taste of Indian hospitality. The children also met the Vice President.
Moreover, the exchange programme helps educators share good practices and developments in the area of special needs. And for students, it helps them to respect differences and also boosts their self-confidence as some of them are away from their families for the first time. Earlier this year, students and teachers from Shri Ram had made a similar visit to Singapore.
