Thomson Education Direct, Australia’s leading provider of distance learning education, in conjunction with the Language Training Institute, today announced they had launched an innovative teaching English course designed for people wishing to work overseas.
The comprehensive teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) course, which is an important preparatory step towards gaining Certificate IV accreditation, enables students to learn the theory of teaching English to speakers of other languages and to use the qualification overseas or within Australia.
It is an important certification to have because many businesses will ask if an individual has a TESOL qualification, which enables them to teach English overseas.
Unveiling the new program, Thomson Education Direct’s General Manager, Malcolm Kinns, said the TESOL course had been designed to be completed by correspondence in 12 months or earlier and involves around 120 hours of study.
