Cushman art students learn from a distance
As fifth-grade student Hunter Strain finishes his fish drawing, art teacher Tara Ballenger hovers over his left shoulder, though she is not really there in person.

To Strain and his classmates, the interaction is real even though Ballenger is more than 100 miles away in an office. But technology is making it possible for the teacher to be present in the classroom, even if it is on a big screen television.
