The U.S. Department of Education has ranked San Diego-based Goal Financial, LLC, as the 10th largest holder of student loans in the country. The federal report ranks the top 100 holders of FFELP loans among national student loan financing institutions.
In a one-year span – from October 1, 2003 to September 30, 2004 – Goal Financial grew its asset base by an impressive 58%. With this momentum, Goal Financial was the only company out of the top 100 ranked companies to break into the top 10 – up from its 12th-place ranking last year. This ranking is ahead of many popular financial institutions, such as Bank of America and Key Bank, which also provide student loan financing.
Our success in the education finance marketplace comes from our proactive approach to delivering products and services to students and their families, said Ryan Katz, CEO and co-founder of Goal Financial. Our team at Goal Financial is proud of achieving recognition as a top-10 education lender nationwide. More importantly, we see this ranking as a reflection of the value our customers place in our ability to help them navigate the complexities of financing higher education. We are committed to helping students and their families realize their higher education goals by providing education finance strategies to meet the rising costs of education in this country.
The tremendous growth that Goal Financial has experienced in a short period of time is reflective of the structure and culture of the organization.
For instance, Goal Financial works directly with its consumers, converting them into borrowers, and eventually consolidating their debt after they graduate. This hands-on approach coupled with a continuum of service enables the company to create excellent long-term relationships with students and their families.
