The Argosy University Board of Trustees today announced that Dr. Craig D. Swenson, Ph.D. will serve as the next president of Argosy University succeeding Dr. Gregory M. St. L. OBrien who recently announced his retirement effective December 31, 2007.
Following a three-month search process, the Argosy Board voted Monday to accept the recommendation of the presidential search committee to appoint Dr. Swenson to the post. He will provide leadership to 18 Argosy University campus locations in 12 states.
Most recently, Dr. Swenson served as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Previously, he held senior administrative and academic positions at the University of Phoenix, including serving as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.
