Commonwealth scholarship
The Commonwealth scholarships are tenable in United Kingdom from October 2008 for one year Masters degree course/six months clinical training and for three years PhD course in the subjects mentioned. Each scholarship provides students concessionary or other approved air fare to the United Kingdom by the most direct and economical route and return on expiry of the scholarship; approved tuition and examination fees; personal maintenance allowance payable monthly; grant for books and other relevant expenses.
Requirements: Not more than 40 years of age as on September 30, 2007 and must have completed tertiary education in English medium. For Masters degree or six months clinical training, Bachelors degree by August 31, 2008 in the subject field concerned securing 55% or above marks in Humanities and social science group and 60% or above marks in medical, engineering and technology, science and agriculture group. Give one page academic justification for pursuing the course in UK; GMAT/GRE score where required. Candidate should be eligible for registration with the General Medical Council or the General degree, Masters degree by August 31, 2008 in the concerned subject fields securing 55% or above marks in Humanities and social science group and 60% or above marks in the relevant subjects in medical, engineering and technology, science and agriculture group.
