Right into 11th grade, Amanda Borsotti of Lee didnt see college as a possible option because of her familys finances.
Then the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship entered the equation, and with the encouragement of her friends and coaches, today she is in her freshman year as a sociology major at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
It actually helped me a lot, Borsotti said. Financially, it was a big part of deciding what college I could go to. Right to my junior year in high school, I never really thought of it as a possibility. Now Im the fist one from my family to go to college.
