Annual Debate
Indraprastha College, Delhi University (DU), recently organised its annual inter college bilingual debate, Vivaad. This years topic concentrated on higher education and drew inspiration from Pink Floyds subversive song, We dont need no education.
Professor Vij, dean, DU students welfare, was the chief guest of the event and reminisced about his old days as a teacher in the opening speech. On the occasion the debate society also released the first edition of its newsletter Polyphony. Speakers from Hans Raj College, St Stephens College and Hindu College bagged the first, second and third prize respectively and a student from Zakir Hussain College was declared the best interjector.
