    Aligarh Muslim University has stated that it will hold its admission tests as already announced. AMUs Executive Council at its meeting held on January 17,2008 had unanimously resolved to hold admission tests in addition to Aligarh at Bhopal, Kolkata, Pune and Kozhikode for admission to MBBS/BDS, BTech/BArch and class Xl/diploma in engineering courses. Although some apprehensions were expressed in this regard, the University has since decided to stick to its original plans.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced the entrance examination dates for its engineering, non-engineering and medical admissions for the academic year 2006-07. The university has also released its three new admission brochures for three different programmes. Admission Dates Delhi Institute of Service Management (DISM) has announced Delhi Institute of Service Management (DISM) has announced the admission dates for its three-month certificate and one-year diploma in retail management. Minimum qualification is class XII pass. Admissions shall be based on an aptitude test. Indian School of Business and Finance (ISBF) has announced that following the recommendation of the Equivalence Committee, the Delhi University Academic Council deems B.Sc degrees in Economics, Management, Finance and Social Sciences of the External Study programme of University of London taught at the institute as equivalent to its UG honours qualification. This means students with these University of London External Study course degrees would be eligible to take the PG entrance tests of DUs Departments of Economics and Commerce and the Faculty of Management Studies.

IIT speeds up scrutiny

The IITs have decided to open model answers to their entrance test questions to independent scrutiny within days of next year’s Joint Entrance Exam, allowing the public to point out errors that may have slipped through undetected.
