New Delhi, May 12 (IANS) The Delhi High court Monday issued a notice to the central government on a petition challenging the implementation of the quota for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) students in higher educational institutions. A division bench headed by Justice T.S. Thakur issued the notice seeking reply within four weeks and posted the matter for July 10.
The petition filed by the Pan-IIM Alumni Association pleaded that an April 20 memorandum by which the government intended to implement the OBC reservation in higher educational institutions be stayed.
