MEDAK: The Medak District Review Committee, at a meeting today, adopted a resolution demanding that the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology set up at the ordnance factory be named IIT-Medak instead of IITHyderabad.
‘‘Respecting the fact that Indira Gandhi had contested an election from Medak, the name of the institute should be changed to IIT-Medak,’’ the committee demanded.
Irrigation Minister P Lakshmaiah presided over the meeting and District Minister J Geetha Reddy (Industries) assured that she would take up the matter with the government
