JNU 2009 Jawaharlal Nehru University
JNU stands for Jawaharlal Nehru University and this university is named after the first prime minister of india. JNU is situated in the capital of india, new Delhi and is one of the highest ranked universities in india infact in asia. According to a survey JNU is ranked in the top 100 universities in the world for the study of social and biological sciences. Each year JNU holds this examination for the admission to various full time degree programs.
Eligibility criteria:
1. The candidate opting for International Studies, M.A, Language, Literature and Culture Studies must have a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination.
2. The candidate opting for Social Sciences must have a minimum of 55% in the qualifying examination.
Selection procedure:
1. The need to clear the entrance examination.
2. The candidates, who clear the entrance examination, then undergo interview rounds.
3. The selected candidates will be then given admission to the course of their preference.
Proposed important dates:
1. Early feb to mid march – availability of application forms.
2. Mid may – entrance examination
3. First week of july – interviews.
4. Mid july – declaration of result.
