XIMB-RAT 2009 MBA
Xavier Institute of Management is situated in Bhubaneswar and each year XIMB conducts Research Aptitude Test better called XIMB-RAT for admission to the fellow program in management (FPM) approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The course aims at providing the management field with individuals who have researched on the competencies relevant to management.
Important dates:
1. Sep to dec 08 — Filling of Online application forms
2. 3-01-09 – date of XIMB test for FPM
3. 14-07-08 to 08-08-08 – availability of CAT forms from axis banks
4. 16-11-08 – the date of CAT and timings are from 10:00am to 1:00pm
5. 01-09-08 to 30-11-08 – availability of XAT prospectus.
6. 04-01-09 – XAT exam date and timings are 10:00am to 12:30pm.
Eligibility criteria:
1. The candidate must be a PG with atleast 55% in the PG examinations.
2. The candidate must also have atleast 2 years of working experience.
3. The candidates with better academic record and managerial experience will be given preference.
Examination pattern and syllabus:
1. Duration of the exam is 120 minutes and the time allowed for section A,B,C is 30, 45, 45 minutes respectively.
2. Exam is divided into 3 sections.
3. Section A (5 marks): you will be required to write about yourself and your thoughts and perspectives.
4. Section B (10 marks): writing skills.
5. Section C (30 marks): reasoning and data interpretation skills.
6. There is no negative marking.
