Introduction of PAM CAT
Punjab Admission to MCA Common Aptitude Test is conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala on behalf of the Punjab government. The university offers admission to MBA and MCA programs in the colleges affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and Punjabi University, Patiala.
Important dates of PAM CAT
1. Last week of june-first week of july – last date for submission of application forms.
2. Mid july – entrance exam and the timings will be from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
3. 4th week of july – declaration of result.
4. 4th week of july – first counseling
Documents to be attached along with the application form:
1. 10th certificate
2. 10+2 Detailed Marks Certificate
3. Qualifying Examination Certificate.
4. Reserve Category Certificate, if any.
5. Residence Certificate.
Eligibility criteria of PAM CAT
1. The candidate appearing for the MBA examination must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
2. The candidate appearing for the MCA examination must have attained a bachelor’s degree of atleast 3 years with mathematics as a compulsory subject in the class 12th standard.

Examination pattern for PAM CAT
1. Examination will be conducted in 2 parts. The first part is common to both MBA and MCA. The second will have specific questions for MBA and MCA separately.
2. 150 MCQs in first paper.
3. 50 MCQs in second paper.
Paper -1 Common for both MBA and MCA:
Paper I — Mental and Numerical Ability – 50 MCQs – 50 marks
Paper II — General Knowledge – 50 MCQs – 50 marks
Paper III — General English – 50 MCQs – 50 marks
Paper-2 for MBA candidates only:
Business Aptitude — 50 MCQs – 50 marks
Paper-3 for MCA candidates only:
Mathematics – 50 MCQs – 50 marks
OR
Computer Science – 50 MCQs – 50 marks
