The counselling process for admissions to government quota MBA seats in colleges and university departments will be held via video conferencing simultaneously from five centres across the state from Monday.
The counselling process will commence at 10 am on Monday at the following centres: Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering, Gulbarga; Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davangere; St Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore, Visvesvaraya Technological University campus, Belgaum and BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. Higher Education Minister D Manjunath will inaugurate the process from the Bangalore centre and felicitate the top three rank holders.
The categorywise break of available seats is as follows: Physically disabled: 111; Ex-servicemen: 20; GM: 1,726; SC: 490; ST: 108; category-1: 146; IIA: 478; IIB: 140; IIIA: 141; IIIB: 147.
This year, ranks were announced based only on PGCET marks. Ranks have been announced only for those candidates who have submitted all the marks of their qualifying examination. Candidates who are yet to submit marks cards should download their results from the internet, get it attested from their college principal and submit the same at the counselling centre a day prior to scheduled counselling date. Seat selection by rank holders 1 to 192 will be on Monday.
