The solution to Scholarship is just one click away. Just log on to http://educationsupport.nic.in and you could gain information on how the Government of India offers scholarships to students from non-Hindi speaking states for studies in Hindi. There are plenty of such scholarships , but not many are aware of them.
Students often ask questions such as whether scholarships are available for this or that course, e.g., is any scholarship available for specialized studies in a particular subject, say clinical psychology, or is there any grant or financial assistance available for travelling abroad on an academic or professional assignment?
Students scouting for such details will no longer have to run from pillar to post, with this new website from the Ministry of Human Resource Development promising to be a one-stop guidance portal for them.
The website provides details about 200 government, 60 non-government and 30 exchange scholarships of various universities and institutions along with contact details both in English and Hindi.
In addition, terms and conditions of all major banks to provide educational loans are also available on the website, which was inaugurated by HRD Minister Arjun Singh on Tuesday.
Students can search for scholarships by programmes of study, institutions and disciplines. Application forms of some scholarship programmes supported by the HRD Ministry can be downloaded online from the site.
The website will be continuously upgraded with new scholarships and loan schemes being added, an official from the HRD ministry said.
