Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today said a Global Educational meet would be organised for the development of the education sector in the state.
The meet would focus on the new trends in the educational field and would try to focus on developing the state as the focal point of Higher Education, he told at the “Samanvayam“, a get-together of Keralites settled in other States.
He said the problems faced by Keralities settled in other states with regard to Railways would be taken up with the Railways Minister and the Southern railway officials.
The NORKA cell in New Delhi would be developed, he said and added the same would be started in Mumbai after the completion of the Kerala House there.
Delegates, mostly from Gulf, the United States and European countries, participated in the two-day “Samavayam“ meet which concluded yesterday.
The “Samanvayam“, a get-together of Keralites settled in other States took place today and “Samagamam,“ a meeting of Keralites returned from abroad, would be held tomorrow.
Tourism Minister K C Venugopal, NORKA-ROOTS chairman M M Hassan were present among others.
