Bank Holds Education Loan Seminar

The Bank of India, lead district office, has organised a seminar on Education Loan on the premises of Orissa School of Mining and Engineering. The chief manager, Bank of India, Mr Gopal Krishna Das, attended the seminar as the Chief Guest. He said, that poverty was no longer a hindrance for meritorious students.

The easy to follow, rules and regulations of Bank of India has surpassed all the other banks in the country in terms of providing education loan.

Loans up to Rs 4 lakh will be provided without any security, and loans amounting to Rs 15 lakh can be arranged for students going abroad to pursue higher education.

The Principal of Orissa School of Engineering and Mining, Mr RK James, presided the seminar. Among others, Mr Asit Kumar Mohanty, AGM, NABARD, attended the seminar as an honourable guest.

Officials said, that the next seminars will be organised at DD College and Womens College. Last year, 67 students had availed the loan.
